Joe Fernandez, PE, AICP
Mr. Fernandez is a Principal at Central Coast Transportation Consulting. Since 2002, his work has focused on transportation projects throughout California. He has successfully completed a wide variety of projects including dozens of transportation impact studies, traffic operations analyses, travel forecasting, transportation planning studies, traffic engineering design, and multi-modal planning projects. He started CCTC in 2011.
Mr. Fernandez is a registered Civil Engineer in California and a nationally Certified Planner. He received a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a focus in Transportation Planning. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is thrilled to live and work on the Central Coast.
Michelle Matson, PE, TE
Ms. Matson joined Central Coast Transportation Consulting in 2018 as a S
enior Transportation Engineer. Ms. Matson brings 14 years of public and private engineering experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, project management, design, grant writing and contract preparation. She served as the County of San Luis Obispo traffic engineer until 2018. She has prepared traffic impact studies, roadway safety analysis, bikeways plans, traffic signal plans, traffic control plans and roadside sign and striping plans. She is a Registered Civil Engineer and Traffic Engineer in the State of California. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She is grateful to raise a family on the Central Coast.
